Palmares Bustamante

Palmares Bustamante is a photographer, costume designer, and sewist based in Brooklyn, New York. She began her journey by majoring in technical theater at Fiorello H. LaGuardia. She worked as a draper and designer in several of the productions, most notably Chicago, The Addams Family Musical, and Into the Woods, with her capstone as head costume designer of Little Shop of Horrors. She then went on to continue her work in sewing as a teacher's assistant with Sewho sewing studio, and as a stylist/dresser for New York Fashion Week. When she isn't behind the sewing machine, she is working on building her non-profit organization, Liminal Family Photography Project. She is interested in continuing on her path to use art as a tool to improve and diversify the community.
